A very short, thin blip for moving through a menu: one clean square-ish tone with a tiny click on the front, no tail to speak of. It should feel like a cursor moving one row, not a reward. Use it for menu navigation, list selection, or stepping through options.

How it was made

body: square 880 Hz for 62 ms at 0.20 level, 1.5 ms attack, held flat to 40 ms, then a 20 ms linear release (a clean cut, no exponential tail)
click: 3 ms of noise high-passed at 3 kHz at 0.09 level, on the onset only
thin: a second square at 1320 Hz (a fifth above) for 45 ms at 0.07 level, so it has a little glass in it
no reverb, no echo; buffer 0.12 s
